Part 2: My son h.i.t me 30 times in front of his wife… so the next morning, while he sat in his office, I sold the house he thought was his.

His wife had built another trap under him.

Trevor was not innocent.

He was simply not as smart as the person he chose to commit fraud with.

Then we reached the six million.

Martin had authorized the transfer.

He did not deny it.

But he had also done something Kristen did not know.

At the moment the money moved into Northstar, Martin notified a senior compliance officer at the receiving institution that the transfer might be disputed.

He had previously worked with her on construction financing.

He did not tell her everything.

He said:

“If Gloria Sutter personally confirms this transfer, clear it. If anyone else does, wait.”

That was why five-point-one million remained frozen.

Kristen tried to move it within hours.

The bank delayed.

The remaining nine hundred thousand had already been split toward fees, deposits, and three other accounts.

Investigators traced most of those too.

By the end of the week, nearly $5.7 million was restrained.
