“My Boss Told Me, ‘If You Take a Picture With Me Tonight, I’ll Triple Your Salary Tomorrow.’ I Agreed. But the Next Morning, When I Arrived at Work, I Saw My Photograph on the Office Door. With Tears in My Eyes, I Burst Into My Boss’s Office…”

But a salary three times higher meant I could finally afford my mother’s treatment.

So I agreed.

We went out onto the balcony behind the office.

Richard asked me to stand beside him and smile.

The secretary took our picture.

Immediately afterward, Richard glanced at his phone, and his face suddenly turned pale.

“Is everything ready?” he asked the secretary.

“Yes, Mr. Richard. Everyone will see it tomorrow morning.”

I grew uneasy.

“See what?”

Richard didn’t answer.

He simply said:

“Emily, whatever happens tomorrow, please talk to me first.”

I barely slept that night.

I had a terrible feeling that something bad was about to happen.

The next morning, I arrived at the office earlier than usual.

But the moment I approached the main entrance, my feet seemed to freeze beneath me.

A huge poster had been attached to the glass door.

MY PHOTOGRAPH.

The very same picture we had taken with the director the previous evening.
