Home Entertainment Game Technology Advertisement Part 2: For eight years, my parents made me leave the house every time my brother brought his fiance over; Mom said, “She comes from a good family, don’t embarrass us”; Dad added, “Just disappear for the weekend”; I did; then one weekend, I never came back; it took them four years to find out where I went.

My knees nearly gave out.

I gripped the table.

Then Ben's phone began ringing.

Unknown number.

He answered on speaker.

For several seconds, nobody spoke.

Then a frightened boy's voice filled the room.

"Ben?"

Ben stared at the phone.

"Who is this?"

The boy began crying.

"Please tell Stacey I remember her."

My entire body went cold.

"Who are you?" I whispered.

A pause.

Then the boy answered.

"I'm Ethan."

Tears filled my eyes.

Before I could speak, he continued.

"Mom and Dad told me you died."

My heart shattered.

He was still trapped inside the same lie.

The same house.

The same silence.

I gripped the phone.

"Ethan, where are you?"

His voice shook.

"Upstairs."

I closed my eyes.

"Are you safe?"

For several seconds, he didn't answer.

Then he whispered:

"Stacey, Dad knows you're looking for me."

My heart pounded.

"And he's getting ready to move us."

I stopped breathing.
