HOA Sold 1,800 Tickets to a Corn Maze on My Farm—So I Harvested Every Stalk Before Their Grand Opening

The temporary kitchens had been connected to a water source without authorization.

My water source.

A spigot beside the machine barn.

The inspector photographed everything.

At noon, the fire marshal arrived.

At 12:30, the insurance company called asking whether I had authorized public access.

“No.”

The representative went quiet.

“You’re certain?”

“Yes.”

“Thank you.”

At 1:05, Cedar Ridge canceled the Harvest Weekend.

Official reason:

UNFORESEEN PROPERTY ACCESS DISPUTE.

That phrase lasted approximately eleven minutes online.

Then screenshots of my deed started circulating.

By two, hundreds of angry ticket buyers were posting refund demands on Cedar Ridge’s Facebook page.

By three, someone discovered the HOA’s event refund policy said tickets were nonrefundable except if the organizer canceled.

Which they had.

At 3:18, the page disappeared.

At 4:00, residents began arriving at the clubhouse.

At 4:40, somebody livestreamed the emergency HOA meeting.

I watched from my kitchen table.

Trish sat at the front of the room beside Bradley Shaw.
