At 72, I’m Getting Married Again—And I Refuse to Let Anyone Tell Me I’m Too Old to Dream

I’ll be walking toward someone I love, wearing a dress I helped create, surrounded by people who matter to me.

At seventy-two, I understand that time is precious. That’s precisely why I want to enjoy the moments that make life meaningful.

Love doesn’t follow a strict schedule. Happiness doesn’t belong exclusively to the young, and dreams don’t disappear simply because we’ve celebrated another birthday.

Sometimes, the most beautiful chapter begins when we least expect it.

And sometimes, the bravest thing we can do is give ourselves permission to enjoy it.

I’m seventy-two, I’m getting married again, and I’m wearing the dress that makes me happy. My dreams are still mine to pursue—and they have no expiration date.
