THE REAL OWNER

My husband was about to discover that the woman he had left to wash the dishes was exactly the person he had gone to impress.

Forty minutes later, my car stopped in front of the hotel.

I wasn't wearing the used dress Julian was hoping to see me.

I was wearing a custom-made black dress, my grandmother's necklace and the sterling seal ring that I hadn't worn in public since before I got married.

When I entered the room, no one announced my name.

It wasn't necessary.

President of Sterling Investment Group immediately rose.

Then the CFO did it.

Then three board members.

In a few seconds, half the room was standing.

Julian continued to sit down.

Victoria was next to him.

His mother looked at me with open contempt.

“What is Clara doing here?”

Then my legal director, Samuel Rhodes, approached me.

“Mrs. Sterling.

Julian's face has changed.

“Sterling?”

I stopped in front of his table.

"Hi, Julian.

The victory has been made.

“It has to be a joke.

Samuel took the microphone.

“It is an honor to introduce the founder and majority shareholder of Sterling Investment Group, Mrs Clara Sterling Vance.

The silence was absolute.

Julian got up slowly.

“You told me your parents had a printing press.

“They did it.

“You lived above it.

“Also.

“Then what the hell is this?”

I looked at him.
