A video that was supposed to show their close relationship
Delighted by what
she considered affectionate behavior, Camilla decided one morning to film Dorato with her smartphone.
In the images, the large golden python appeared stretched out on the bed, in the immediate vicinity of the young woman. It could be seen extending its body and then slowly forming coils around its limbs.
For Camilla, this video was a testament to the unusual relationship she had had with her pet since her teenage years.
She wanted to share this scene with someone who knew Dorato well.
A call to Edoardo, a specialist veterinarian
That same evening, she contacted Edoardo, a childhood friend who had become a veterinarian specializing in exotic animals, via video conference.
Edoardo already knew the story of Dorato and had
had the opportunity to examine the snake during various consultations.
Camilla enthusiastically told him about the reptile’s new nocturnal habits.
“You absolutely must see what my python is doing now!” she exclaimed, laughing.
She continued: “He sleeps with me every night. I think he’s become much more attached to me than anyone could have imagined!”
Convinced that her friend would
find the scene amusing, she sent him the recording.
But her reaction was very different from what she expected.
The veterinarian’s face suddenly changed.
From the very first seconds of the video, Edoardo’s smile disappeared.
The veterinarian carefully observed the python’s movements, then looked at the recording again. Its expression was now serious.
Camilla immediately noticed this change in attitude.
“Camilla… answer me immediately, with the utmost sincerity. Where is the snake now?” he asked.
