#PART 3 – ENDED — THE MAN WHO CAME BACK FROM THE DEAD**

They heard hooves on top of it.

They went north through the ravine until David stopped.

"The Church."

Elias frowned on the eyebrows.

“What?”

“The map was written under the bell.”

“Would you like to go to Mercy Ridge?”

“Silas will expect us to flee to the mountains.”

Mara understood.

“So we go where he doesn’t want to.”

David nodded.

By midnight, they reached the outskirts of the city.

Mercy Ridge was sleeping under the snow.

The church's bell tower rises above each roof.

They went through an old cemetery gate.

David knew a side door.

Inside, the church smelled of wax, dust and cold wood.

Mara was shaking.

Here she had preached Silas, while she was bleeding in the square outside.

Elias noticed his expression.

“You can wait here.”

"No."

He took a step forward.

“I’m tired of waiting while the men decide what’s happening to me.”
