Part 2: My son h.i.t me 30 times in front of his wife… so the next morning, while he sat in his office, I sold the house he thought was his.

Maybe he did not decide:

I will hit Mom thirty times.

But Kristen had been feeding anger.

Encouraging intimidation.

And Trevor had chosen to act.

I asked:

“Did you send this to police?”

Ana nodded.

“Yes.”

Good.

Then she took another document from the folder.

“I also found something about the house.”

“What?”

“The buyer.”

I frowned.

“What about them?”

The River Oaks property had been sold under the fast private arrangement Daniel structured.

The buyer was Harbor House Foundation.

I knew that much now.

A nonprofit with real-estate investors behind it.

They purchased large residential properties for resale, program use, or redevelopment.

“They contacted me.”

Ana said.

“Why?”

“They found a locked cabinet in the study during inspection.”

My stomach tightened.

Trevor's study.

The buyer's representatives had not opened it.

They turned the cabinet over through counsel.

Inside were documents.

Not Cedarline.

Not my assets.

Kristen's private plan.

A preliminary divorce petition.
