Part 2: My son h.i.t me 30 times in front of his wife… so the next morning, while he sat in his office, I sold the house he thought was his.

He intended to replace it after selling land.

Then the market crashed.

The repayment took fourteen months.

When he finally restored the full amount, he never told me.

No loss remained on the books.

But he had used company money without authorization.

That mattered.

He hid it for fifteen years.

Kristen discovered it.

How?

Trevor.

My son had once asked Martin for access to archived project records because he was “learning the family business.”

Martin gave him too much.

Kristen was better with documents than Trevor.

She found an old reconciliation discrepancy.

Then bank scans.

Then Martin's private repayment.

She confronted him.

Not Trevor.

Alone.

She told Martin that if I learned what he'd done, I would destroy him.

Lose his retirement.

His reputation.

Possibly refer the old conduct for prosecution.

Martin believed her.

Maybe I would have fired him.

Probably.

Would I have destroyed him after seeing he repaid every dollar fifteen years ago while his wife was dying?
