My husband left his medication at home, so I stopped by his office to bring it to him. But when I asked the receptionist to call him downstairs, she said, "Ma'am, your husband has been on leave for the past week."

So when it was his turn, he did the arithmetic on his own wife in about four days.

And then he waited five more weeks, and tried twice, and got what have I organised and don't be morbid.

And then he rang the one person on this earth he knew for a fact would sit in a chair.

A woman I had not spoken to in four years and two months.

For saying seven true words to me in a car park in the rain.

If somebody you love says I need to tell you something —

do not laugh. Do not say don't be morbid. Do not let them say forget it and then let them forget it in four seconds because you have got something on in the morning.

They will only try twice.

I am not being clever with that number. Mine was two and my husband is the most straightforward man I have ever met.
