My Granddaughter Found a Hidden Box After 10 Years—What Was Inside Changed Everything We Believed About Her Parents’ Death

I couldn’t continue.

Grace moved closer.

“Grandma?”

I handed her the letter.

“No,” I said quietly. “You shouldn’t have to read this.”

But she shook her head.

“I need to know.”

So we read it together.

Daniel wrote that he had discovered something troubling at work. He didn’t explain everything in the letter, but he mentioned a financial dispute involving someone he trusted.

He had apparently become worried that money was being moved from an account without his knowledge.

At first, he thought it was a mistake.

Then he discovered that the same person had been using his identity to authorize transactions.

Daniel had planned to confront the person.

But before he could do so, he wrote that he had started feeling watched.

He had become afraid.

The letter ended with a sentence that made my hands go numb.

“If something happens to us, don’t believe every story you hear. Look for the blue folder.”
