My daughter was just fourteen when she came home to her boyfriend one night and gently asked us to sit down.
As soon as I saw his face, I knew something was really wrong.
His hands were shaking.
Her boyfriend was pale.
Neither of us was able to look us in the eye.
Then my daughter whispered three words that made my heart stop:
“I am pregnant.
For several seconds, the room was completely silent.
It was hard for me to breathe.
But my husband reacted immediately.
He got up from the chair so abruptly that it scraped the floor. Then he pointed to the door At first with finger and shouted:
— Sal of my house!
My daughter broke down in tears immediately.

I begged you to calm down.
I told her that she was still our daughter, that she was scared and that whatever mistakes had been made, she would only make the situation worse.
But he didn't want to hear anything.
He said he had ruined his future.
He said he had covered our family with shame.
And when her boyfriend tried to defend her, my husband became even more angry.
A few minutes later, my daughter left our house with a small bag, crying next to the boy who had promised that she would not leave her alone.
I watched them walk away until I disappeared at the end of the street and I felt nauseous.
“Go get it,” I begged my husband.
He refused.
“She wanted to make adult decisions,” he said coldly. Now she can take the consequences as an adult.
Just a few hours later, those words would haunt him.
I had already gone dark when my phone started ringing.
The number was unknown.
I was about not to answer.
But as soon as I took down, I heard someone crying so hard that I could barely talk.
It was my daughter's boyfriend.
In the background, screams were heard.
Then, sirens.
And then he pronounced my daughter's name.
My husband saw the expression on my face and he immediately stood up.
What happened?
I couldn't answer him.

I just looked at it while the boy finally managed to explain to us where they were and what had happened after we forced our fourteen-year-old daughter to leave our house.
