It is not the same and it is not going to be.
We speak. She came to Sam's birthday in the April. She does not have a key any more and that was my decision and she has never once argued about it and I think she is relieved.
And in the June she said the only hard thing she has said to me in fifteen years.
We were in her car and I had been going on about how I wished she had just told me in 2023, and she let me finish, and then she said:
"Derv. I've got a notebook with what you said in it. What do you think I was going to do — hand you a letter and have you look at me the way you looked at me in September?"
And then she said: "You were always going to need somebody to be the one who kept them from you."
