And he looked straight at Lily.
“Are you sure there’s nothing else you want to tell me?”
Lily started crying.
The doctor ordered an urgent scan.
Twenty minutes later, he returned with the results.
But I wasn't looking at Lily anymore.
He was looking at me.
His face had turned completely pale.
Then he closed the door of the exploration room, lowered his voice and said,
“I need to show you something.”
He turned the screen to me.
And the second I saw what the scanner revealed, my knees almost failed... 😱💔

The doctor then pointed to a dark area near Lily's abdomen.
“He has internal bleeding,” he said quietly. “It’s not massive yet, but it’s enough for us to have to treat it immediately.”
