Home Entertainment Game Technology Advertisement Part 2: For eight years, my parents made me leave the house every time my brother brought his fiance over; Mom said, “She comes from a good family, don’t embarrass us”; Dad added, “Just disappear for the weekend”; I did; then one weekend, I never came back; it took them four years to find out where I went.

He told me he'd spent years moving between temporary jobs before settling in town.

I looked at Nina's photograph.

"Ben, did you have a sister named Nina?"

Silence.

Then I heard him begin crying.

"Yes."

Tears streamed down my face.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

His voice broke.

"Because I didn't know how."

I gripped the phone.

"What do you mean?"

He swallowed.

"Grandma Ruth found me two years ago."

My heart stopped.

"Ruth?"

"She told me what happened to my sister."

I stared at Avery.

Ben continued.

"She said you were another victim."

My voice trembled.

"Then why come work for me?"

He began crying harder.

"Because Nina always said she wanted to open a garden shop someday."

I covered my mouth.

He continued.

"And Ruth told me that if I wanted to understand what kind of person Nina had been, I should meet the girl she tried to save."
