“Is everything all right?” she asked.
“Yes,” I replied. “I need a little help with a seating issue.
The passenger behind me has placed his bare foot on my armrest, and he has refused to move it after I asked him politely.”
The flight attendant’s expression changed slightly.
She leaned forward enough to understand the situation without making a spectacle of it.
“Sir,” she said, addressing the man behind me, “I need you to keep your feet within your own seating area and away from other passengers’ armrests.”
For the first time since the incident began, the man looked genuinely surprised.
He withdrew his foot a few inches, but instead of complying fully, he attempted to defend himself.
“I’m just trying to get comfortable,” he explained.
“I understand,” the attendant responded. “However, you cannot place your foot on another passenger’s armrest. Please keep it in your own space.”
